Looking for Delmus Barton of Camp Co. and Simpsonville, Upshur County, Texas. Born late 1800's. His daughter Rozlee is our ancester, she was born 1909. She married Marvin Alexander McAllister. Little known about Delmus. His father is supposedly Lewis Barton, mother Elizabeth Onalda Arnold.

From an 8-1988 letter from Charles McBee:
"I...looked up the census for 1850 in Texas and found the Nations family
in Nacogdoches Co., TX.
I can only presume that Wm. & Bethania
[Barton] picked up these children [the Nations children] on their way from
Miss. [see Yalobusha Co.] to
Upshur Co., TX in the mid-1850's. A real
curiosity as to what happened to BOTH [Nations] parents around 1853-4.
William & Bethenia (Murphee) Barton moved here in time for the 1860 census.
