My grandmother placed some handwritten notes in the Casey family bible showing that Henry "Hal" Casey married Jane Barton July 29, 1816 in Morgan County, Georgia. The note further states that Jane had a brother named John Barton who was buried in the Asa Prior Cemetery on Tan Yard Branch in Cedartown, Polk County, GA. Another note states that Henry Casey was living in Tallapoosa County, AL when his wife died when his son James Henry Casey was about six months. Knowing that James Henry was born in February of 1830, I assume that Jane's death date was in 1829. I have no other information on this family, but would love to know more about my Barton ancestors.
