Moses Holand and wife Mary E Barton moved from Culpeper Co., VA to an area which is near Williamson SC, near Anderson. I believe it was Anderson Co. He was a well known Baptist minister - they had many children and many have a great many descendants. No one I have found has any clue about her (or his) parents or place of origin.

Joseph Barton of MH1 [modal haplotype 1 of the Barton Historical Society DNA Project] lived in Pendleton Dist, SC. Some of his descendants lived around Fair Play, Anderson Co., SC.
