1789:  Susanna Barton md. William Thornhill.  Susanna's father listed as Bur Barton.  [The Book, Marriage Bonds of Bedford County, Virginia, 1755-1800]

1791:Violet Barton md. Alexander Brown (according to descendant, Violet was a sister to Susanna).

Note:  A Burley Barton was enumerated on the 1810 census of Caswell Co., NC.  An Alexander Brown lived in Rockingham Co, just west of Caswell during this same timeframe.

My first Barton that I have well documented is THOMAS BARTON , SR. born Abt. 1732 in Stafford County, Virginia, and died 1807 in Greenville, South Carolina. He married SARAH WILSON November 01, 1767 in Bedford County, Virginia, daughter of THOMAS WILSON.  Sarah Wilson was said to have been a Indian Princess, the daughter of an Indian Chief of Greenville/Spartanburg area in South Carolina.
