Benjamin Barton married Lucy Wellborn who was B. May 20,1761 in Randolph Co., NC on March 10, 1779 in Wilkes Co., NC. She was the daughter of William Wellborn, Jr. and Hephzibah Starnes/Stearns. One of their children was Wellborn G. Barton. Another child that may have been theirs was Abner W. Barton who died in Tarrant TX This Abner W. Barton had a son named Thomas Massengill Barton.
