Thomas Archer Wood was born in 1842. His father was born in Hall Co. and his mother in Jackson Co. I don't know Thomas' birth place, but his brother, George Washington Wood, was born 1845 in Hall County, GA.

Thomas md. (1) Emma Bain, (2) Sarah Ann Barton.

Data from Sylvia:

Thomas was most likely born in Hall County, as the older children were born there also. Don't know anything more about Sarah. I do have this on Thomas: 2LT, 4 AL CAV, Civil War, So they probably married in Alabama.

[Thomas] moved from GA in 1852 to Marshall/Blount (now Etowah) County, AL. In 1869 started west with wagon trains. Homesteaded on Paluxy Creek/River near Bluff Dale (in Hood County?) TX. Many of family are buried at old Rock Church nearby.
