WILLIAM BARTON
Corporal James Barton (b. ca 1762; Orange Co., NC/d. Montgomery Co., AL) md. Elizabeth Crabtree (b. 1779; Orange co., NC/d. after 1832). According to DAR records via Daisy Bailey Waitt, James was the son of Thomas Barton of VA. Thomas was the son of William Barton of VA. Either Thomas or William was md. to a Taylor.
