Stephen Barton  (b 1804 SC) m. 27 Apr 1828 Hall Co, GA Sarah Ann Thompson [Some accouonts say Thomason]
(I think she died abt Feb, 1850 in MS, when last child was born)

Children:
1. Hiram b. 1831 GA
2. Martha b 1836 GA
3. John b. 1838 GA
4. Hannah b 1840 GA
5. Young b. 1842 GA
6. Mathew b 1844 GA
7. Matilda b Feb 1850 MS

Stephen was in Hall Co, Ga in 1830, Murray Co, GA, 1840 and in 1850 was in Rusk Co, TX. (The census was taken on Oct 31, 1850--Matilda was 8 months old and born in MS --on the way from GA to TX)

There may have been other children that I have not found. James was in Hall Co in 1830, Murray in 1840 and Rusk CO. TX in 1850. Have not found him after that. Still working on him.
