From BQ Guest Book:

Elizabeth - 04/06/00

The name of your first known ancestor: Thomas Barton
Where was your ancestor born?: SC

I've recently broken through a great brick wall and determined that Thomas Barton and wife Elizabeth of Jefferson Co AL and Noxubee Co MS are my g-g-grandparents. Thomas was born abt. 1797 in SC. He had sons named Benjamin, William, and Bailey. Based on these names and dates, I think he may be the Thomas Barton who was a son of Benjamin Barton and Dorcas Anderson. Thomas married Elizabeth Ransom in AL in 1832. His first wife may have been Sally Boyd (WFT V.13,#168). I'd love to hear from anyone who knows this family and can comment on (or maybe even verify!) my conclusions. Thanks, Elizabeth

In an email, Elizabeth also mentioned Thomas Barton and wife Elizabeth moved to Noxubee Co. MS.
