According to Polly, phussey  *  worldnet.att.net, Isaac Barton and Sarah Vesey of Ireland and PA were parents of Joshua Barton.  This Isaac was the son of Chrisopher and Dorothy Barton.

In a Febuary 27, 2005 email, Bill Walker, stated:

"Joshua Barton (b. 19 Aug 1718) was the son of Isaac Barton (b.ca.1683 Killaloe, Ireland - d.18 May 1721 Chester Co., PA) and Sarah Vesey (b.ca.1685 Limerick, Ireland - d.aft.1726 Prince George's Co., MD)...Isaac Barton's will, which lists his children in the same order as they're listed in a letter from Rev. Isaac Barton (son of Joshua Barton b.1718), was discovered in Pennsylvania. This was documented in a large, 2-volume set of genealogical data titled "Descendants of Isaac Barton Killaloe, Co. Clare, Ireland" by Margaret "Peggy" Barton Marsh Carter and published by the Barton Family Association in 1988."

"Jane Dubart's death date was in 1760 after 15 January (she signed deed of sale with Joshua Sr.) and her first name may have been Jeanne (possible Huguenot - signed deed "Jean"); Joshua Barton Jr. married Frances Grubbs (Jane Hale married Joshua Barton son of David Barton)."
