William W. Barton who lived in Independence County (Union Township), AR approx. 1870 - 1900 before he and his family moved to Texas in 1900.
On the 1920 Hood Co. TX Census, information given the census taker indicated that William W. was born in Arkansas and that both his parents were also born in AR. However, one of his sons thought William W. may have been born in Georgia.
